Un grupo de mujeres, artistas, sanadoras, educadoras e investigadoras nos preguntamos: ¿Qué sería una educación y justicia feminista? ¿Cómo podemos construir dinámicas sociales desde el arte y el feminismo? ¿Cuáles son las formas de compartir y colectivizar el poder para todxs?

Nos reunimos durante 2019 para pensar y diseñar cómo queremos materializar nuestros deseos personales, colectivos y estructurales. Decidimos crear un Portal Feminista al Futuro, que se abra en medio de la vida cotidiana en Nicaragua para expresar apoyo, seguridad y libertad entre nosotras. El portal también tenía un elemento físico, que se suponía actuaría como una bandera, al “flotar sobre el espacio” para indicar un espacio seguro para que las mujeres de la zona pudieran acceder y participar.

A través de diálogos desde nuestros cuerpos e imaginarios colectivos, nos acercamos a otras realidades y estéticas posibles a partir de la colaboración y el intercambio de conocimientos entre mujeres. Nos animamos mutuamente a recuperar la agencia del soñar.

Nos alejamos de la actual conjunción de violencia estatal, racial y de género y despojo del Estado y temporalidad neoliberal para captar la “posibilidad imposible” de una “poesía del futuro” (Keeling, 2020).

A group of women, artists, healers, educators, and researchers asked ourselves: What would be a feminist education and justice? How can we build social dynamics from art and feminism? What are the ways to share and collectivize power for everyone?  

We met during 2019 to think and designed how we want to materialize our personal, collective and structural desires. We decided to create a Feminist Portal to the Future, that opens in the midst of everyday life in Nicaragua to express support, security and freedom among us. The portal also had a physical element, that was supposed to act as a flag, by “hovering above space” to signify a safe space for women in the area to access it and participate

Through dialogues from our bodies and collective imaginations, we approach other possible realities and aesthetics based on collaboration and the sharing of knowledge among women. We encouraged each other to recover the agency of dreaming.  We moved away from the present conjunction of state, racial and gendered violence and dispossession of the state and neoliberal temporality to grasp the “impossible possibility” of a “poetry from the future” (Keeling, 2020).
